the bishop

Today during our ward conference a member of our Stake Presidency paid tribute to our Bishop by saying, "Even when he might not understand the why or how he still does it." That is truth. I know for certain that David does not always understand the why or how of his assignments and calling but he still does what he is asked and moves forward in faith. David's example of obedience is a blessing to our family and to our ward.

Emily had a cute experience with David this week.  One of Emily's friends was trying to give Dave her tithing as they all walked down the meeting house hallway.  David had his mind on other things and so he did not hear the girl trying to get his attention. After hearing her friend say "Bishop, Bishop" multiple times Emily said "Dad" and David immediately heard her and responded. The young women thought it pretty funny, and I imagine Emily felt just a little special.
