David and I had a great trip to his home state of Wisconsin. One cannot fly into Minneapolis,  without a stop at the Mall of America:) Then we drove to Wausau, WI and hiked Rib Mountain. 

This trip we visited the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and stopped at all the little ice rinks where David played hockey as a kid. We also toured the Quincy Mine in Hancock.

Then we drove up to Copper Harbor. Lake Superior is stunning! Over the years I have seen it from a boat in Bayfield, walked its shoreline in Ontonagon and now I have overlooked its waters from the tip-top of the United States.










We finished off the week in David's home town of Eagle River, WI where we celebrated his Mother's 75th Birthday with family.
