grandpa's gift

When David and I were married, my Dad arranged to have Elder Neil A. Maxwell preform our sealing. It was important to Dad that we have a personal connection to the sealer. Once a sealer himself, my Dad preformed the marriages for most of my nieces and nephews. When it came time for Chloe and Andrew's wedding they decided to allow the temple to make the assignment and knew that the sealer would most likely be someone they did not know.
As David and I walked into the sealing room, there stood, Bro. Goodsell, a former member of our Stake Presidency and a dear friend. Bro. Goodsell had been assigned to preform Chloe and Andrew's sealing. He taught the temple and taught the gospel, something my Dad always did.
I am certain that having Bro. Goodsell preform the sealing ceremony for Chloe and Andrew was Grandpa's gift. My Dad's way of letting Chloe and our family know that he was mindful of her special day.
I felt Dad's love as we sat together in the temple and witnessed the creation of an eternal family.
