let earth recieve her king

I love the hymn Joy to the World which teaches "Let earth receive her King." A recent personal experience taught me that the gifts of the Savior are always there for me by sometimes I allow my own stubborn pride to keep me from receiving them.  Although this is the season of giving, I am grateful for the gifts I can receive through my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am grateful for his example of how to live and how to love, I am grateful for His grace and the enabling power of His atonement.  I am grateful that Jesus is my friend!
