home

It's been a pretty stressful month at our house. Young men's camp, trek and regular Bishop's duties have kept David on the go. Add to that work, and extended family responsibilities and there has been little time for us. So glad Dave is home and we have a moment to take a breath.

Both Sadie and David had a good experience on trek.  David was not the captain of Sadie's company but they managed to see each other throughout their 3 day experience. There was a lot of confusion on the first morning and Sadie was not able to locate her assigned family. She was not excited about trek to begin with and being orphaned before she even got started was just too much. Fortunately David was there to help her get settled and he was there again when heat exhaustion got the best of her. Sadie was glad to have, as she put it, "someone on my side." I imagine as the years progress, Sadie will draw parallels between her experience with her Dad on trek and her relationship with her Heavenly Father. It's nice to know we have a Father who loves us and is always by our side.
