Our daughter is a photography major. Her interest in photography was sparked in a high school journalism class and over the past several years her interest has become a passion. However as a college student, she has found that the constant critical analysis of her work takes the joy out it.
Reflecting on our daughter's experience has created a greater awareness in me and reconfirmed that Criticism sucks the love out of life! It doesn't seem to matter if it's a person, a relationship or a passion; when we are quick to expose the negative it's hard to develop a pretty picture.
