memorial

David and I recently attended the memorial service of one of his colleagues. David's friend, Stan, was a good Christian man and an active member of his church. I loved learning about his life as described by those who knew and loved him most. I was particularly impressed by the tribute given by one of his sons who quoted 1 Corinthians 11:1 which says “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.”  The son commented he could confidently follow his Dad because he knew his Dad was a faithful follower of Christ. The Pastor remarked we know that Jesus Christ is our perfect example and we should follow Him, then the Pastor said “Stan showed us what that looks like”
