We had a great trip to Oregon to explore where Sadie served her mission. One of the unexpected highlights was our family history adventures. On the way back from Multnomah Falls we saw a sign for Gresham. David's Grandpa was born in Gresham so we decided to make an unplanned stop. After just a couple minutes of Google searching (and some help from heaven) we found Altman Road and ended up on the original Altman farm. From there we found the little cemetery where Grandpa Altman's parents and extended family are buried. It was a sweet experience for us because prior to Sadie's mission we were guided to do some of the temple work for Grandpa's mother's family. Finding her grave gave us an even greater connection to this matriarch who has reached out to us from the other side of the veil.

Part of our trip was also to deliver the ashes of David's paternal Grandparents and Uncle to their final resting place in Salem. It's a crazy story how that came about, but a testimony builder to me that the Lord called Sadie to serve her mission in Oregon, the birth place of one Great-Grandfather and the final resting place of another.
