it's meant to be

A couple weeks ago the buyer canceled their offer on my listing. The timing of the renovation was just not going to work for their family. When we had a strong offer and were looking forward to a successful closing "it was meant to be" but when it failed . . . then what?  It's funny how when things work out smoothly people will say, "it's meant to be".  Although unintentional, the implication is when we experience rough patches, set backs and failures "it" was not meant to be. When things don't work out we tend to doubt the spiritual impressions we had. All to often when things don't work out for others we are quick to judge and assume that they made a mistake. I have learned through this experience that even when things don't work out smoothly we can still say "it was meant to be." My experience with the buyer and his family allowed me to be a good example of the gospel. My testimony of personal revelation was strengthened and my faith increased. My understanding of my Heavenly Father's love for me was heightened and I know with certainty that "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
